Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at Old Alresford Cottage. With an in-house Chef understanding just how important diet is, using fresh ingredients to prepare delicious, nutritionally balanced meals.  We are happy to cater for all tastes and dietary requirements with menus published each week.

Typical Lunch Menu

 

Monday

Main: Lasagne with Salad & Homemade Garlic Bread.
Dessert: Poached Pears and Custard.
Alternative: Homemade Meatballs with Potato Wedges.

 

Tuesday

Main: Chicken Curry with Tomato & Red Onion Salad.
Dessert: Strawberry Gateau.
Alternative: Baked Breaded Plaice with Peas & Mash or Rice.

 

Wednesday

Main: Glazed Roast Gammon with Parsnips & Carrots.
Dessert: Eve’s Pudding with Custard.
Alternative: Ham, Egg & Chips.

 

Thursday

Main: Braised Beef with Herb Dumplings.
Dessert: Peaches in a Light Caramel Sauce.
Alternative: Stuffed Courgettes with Cabbage, Sweetcorn & Mash.

 

Friday

Main: Fish Pie with Mixed Vegetables.
Dessert: Rhubarb Crumble Cake with Custard.
Alternative: Battered Cod with Mash.

 

Saturday

Main: Beef Bourguignon with New Potatoes, Carrots & Peas.
Dessert: Fruit Sponge with a Light Caramel Sauce.
Alternative: Chicken Paella.

 

Sunday

Main: Leg of Pork with Mashed Swede & Broccoli.
Alternative: Poached Cod in Lemon and Parsley Sauce.

 

A glass of wine is optional at all lunchtime meals

Other choices of dessert are – Ice Cream, Assorted Yoghurts, Jelly, Fresh Fruit and a Milk-based Dessert.
